Teenager Arrested After Handing Himself In Over Rapper’s Killing At Notting Hill Carnival

  • by

A teenager has handed himself in to police after a rapper was stabbed to death at the Notting Hill Carnival.

The 18-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Takayo Nembhard, also known as TKorStretch.

Mr Nembhard, from Bristol, died in hospital.

The 21-year-old rapper was stabbed in the groin under the Westway flyover in Ladbroke Grove on 29 August while there were several hundred people in the area.

He was at the carnival with his sister and friends.

His partner, Oshian Edwards, who was pregnant with the couple’s baby, posted on social media after his death that he was “the most kind-hearted, loving, funny and caring” person.

She said on Instagram: “I’m sat here with sore eyes and a heavy heart as I’ve cried consistently for the last 12 hours while carrying your unborn son.

“I will remind him daily about how great you were as a son, brother, boyfriend and friend too!”

Officers are still trying to trace another person whose image was captured on CCTV.

“If can you help or have any information – no matter how small – about Takayo’s murder please come forward.”

Four other people were previously arrested in October in connection with the killing.

A 23-year-old man, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old male were arrested in Bristol on suspicion of murder; while a 20-year-old woman was arrested in Islington in London on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They were all either bailed pending further inquiries or released under investigation.
